Performances by the best dancers from all over Poland will be on show during the National Sports Dance Tournament "Jantar". The dance competition will take place on Sunday, April 16 at the European Meeting Centre "Światowid" in Elbląg.
The main aim of the National Sports Dance Tournament "Jantar" is to create conditions for competition for dancers from the Elbląg Dance Club "Jantar", which successfully trains various forms of dance, including sports ballroom dancing. The competition has been very popular with dancers for years and has become a permanent fixture in Elbląg's calendar of events.
In the sports and entertainment hall of the "Światowid" Centre in Elbląg, sports duos from all over Poland will present themselves, competing not only for tournament points but also for higher dance grades. Elbląg dancers will have the opportunity to compete with competitors from other clubs and compare their skills.
- When one observes the grace and lightness of the dancers, it is very easy to forget how much work they have devoted to perfecting their skills - says Antoni Czyżyk, director of the European Meeting Centre "Światowid", judge and dance coach. - These are years of work on every muscle, every detail of posture, step and gesture.
During the tournament, attention should be paid not only to the beauty and allure of the dancers but also to the enormous will to fight and the determination of the competitors. Artistic expression, costume, make-up and hairstyle will also count on the dance floor - the contestants will certainly be outdone in their ideas for original creations.
The competition will be divided into three blocks arranged according to the skill level of the competitors, with pairs from age eight up to seniors competing. Beginners will present themselves from 10 a.m., intermediate dancers from 2 p.m. and at 5.30 p.m. there will be a performance by the most experienced competitors.
