A sensual rumba, a hot cha-cha or a distinguished English waltz. In just two weeks Elbląg will become the capital of dance! It will be thanks to the Polish Championships in Standard and Latin Dance. On the dance floor in the Sports and Entertainment Hall at Grunwaldzka Avenue, the Elbląg residents will be able to admire the best couples from across the country.
The Polish Dance Championships will take place on the weekend of 25 and 26 March. This is an event of exceptional rank. The patron of the event is the Polish Olympic Committee, and its organisers are Polski Związek Sportu Tanecznego (Polish Dance Sports Association) and Centrum Spotkań Europejskich "Światowid" in Elbląg. This means that the sporting rivalry will be at the highest level and the presenting dancers will certainly give their best.
- This is a reason for us, the organisers, to be pleased and proud - says Antoni Czyżyk, Director of the Centrum Spotkań Europejskich "Światowid" in Elbląg, who also holds the position of President of Polski Związek Sportu Tanecznego. - At the same time I would like to stress that thanks to the creation of Polski Związek Sportu Tanecznego, which is on the list of Polish sports associations of the Ministry of Sport, our Championships will be exceptional this year for their participants and the spectators.
The dancers' performances will be judged by professional judges from Poland and abroad, who will pay special attention to many aspects of the dance, including the technical skills of the competitors, and the musicality and harmony of the performing couple.

The Polish Championships in Standard and Latin Dance will take place in a fortnight - on March 25 and 26 at the Sports and Entertainment Hall on Grunwaldzka Avenue in Elbląg.
