A cinematic journey through the work of the Renaissance master, which is preserved in a unique living museum - Florence. An opportunity to glimpse into the unique world of Botticelli, an artist whose art reinvented the canons of beauty and overcame the barrier of time to inspire modern audiences.
From Terry Gilliam to Andy Warhol, from David LaChapelle to Jeff Koons and Lady Gaga: painters, fashion designers and photographers have been inspired by Botticelli's timeless masterpieces, reinterpreting and transforming them, in constant awe that draws multitudes of art lovers to these paintings. And yet, within 300 years of his death, the Florentine artist was almost forgotten. He was rediscovered in the 19th century, when Alessandro di Mariano Filipepi, more widely known as Botticelli, became the voice of his time.
