Dancing into the winter break

The winter break is coming to an end, but this does not change the fact that the dancers of the Elbląg JANTAR Dance Club continue to participate in training sessions.

Yesterday (January 30 this year) in the CSE "Światowid" in Elbląg the last part of the winter training started. We are closing this year's winter holidays with a block of training sessions for dancers from classes H-F, i.e. children who attend sports ballroom dancing at Elbląg's "Jantar" Dance Club as part of their extra-curricular activities. Dance classes are an obligatory part of the programme, consisting of a warm-up, and standard and Latin American dance workshops. During the winter break classes, the children will be able to concentrate more intensively on improving their dancing skills, so that in future this will translate into the best possible results at tournaments. They will use the time off from school to develop their passion.

There will also be other attractions waiting for the young dancers during the winter break, such as arts and crafts workshops, which are great for developing children's creativity. The participants will also take part in recreational activities such as going to the cinema, ice rink or Activity Park. There will also be a variety of integration games and activities.

All activities are intended to strengthen the sense of belonging to a group, develop interpersonal skills, provide plenty of excitement and emotions, and develop the children's interests.

The aim is to shape a conscious human being, confident of his or her worth and with passion, who will be able to protect himself or herself from addictions. This is to be reinforced by talks prepared for the participants on assertiveness, the ability to make conscious choices, and how to deal with emotions in difficult situations.

The winter break event is conducted as part of the task entitled "Dancing as an activity preventing addictions", co-financed by the Elbląg Municipality.
