About the Elbląg hospice and Dr Ola on the big screen

30 years ago, on 21 February 1993, the in-patient hospice on Kopernika Street was consecrated and ceremonially opened. Two weeks before this event, Dr Aleksandra Gabrysiak, a doctor and hospice volunteer, was murdered. The facility soon took her name. It was the first in-patient facility of its kind in Poland.

The next screening of the "Elbląg on the big screen" series will be devoted to the history and present of the Elbląg hospice and the profile of Dr Aleksandra Gabrysiak, known in our city in many circles as Dr Ola. Films that were made almost 30 years ago will be screened.

A special guest at the screening will be Dr Wiesława Pokropska, who has been the director of the Aleksandra Gabrysiak St. George Hospice in Elbląg since 1995.

We invite you to the screening on Wednesday, 1 February at 6 p.m. at the Światowid cinema.
